V. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee.
R. Because by Thy holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world.

Jesus, though innocent, accepted condemnation to save me from death. Grant me patience amid suffering, unite my pain to Yours, and keep me trusting in Your mercy.
